DAY 2, Day beneath full sails

Climbing the rigging, untying ropes, setting sails – today is all about sailing. Time to lean back and relax in the deck chair and watch the passionate crew hoisting the sails by hand.

DAY 3, Portimão/Portugal

Arrival 08.00 am, Departure 02.00 pm In Portimão, the sightseeing tour begins as soon as you enter the mouth of the Rio Arade. All hands on deck: On the port side, the steep sandstone cliffs, the sunny Praia da Rocha, the marina and the Santa Catarina Fortress pass by one after the other. From the former center of sardine fishing, Portimão has developed into the most popular holiday resort in the western Algarve. Where the trawlers used to moor, there is now the wide Ribeirinha harbor promenade, at the end of which is the Town Museum, housed in the restored halls of the former fish cannery.

Joie de vivre comes face to face with the melancholy of Fado music, winding lanes in the old city meet wide boulevards, while magnificent churches and austere monasteries show the two sides of former religious faith.
