<p>A &lsquo;safari&rsquo; will never be the same again after adventuring through the breathtaking Southern Australian coast. From lunch at Maggie Beer&rsquo;s Farm, the delights of Kangaroo Island, oysters in Coffin Bay, to cage diving with Great White Sharks and unbelievable fishing action, you&rsquo;ll be awestruck at what South Australia has to offer.</p>
<p>Please note: This is a sample itinerary only. Prevailing conditions, local arrangements and indeed, what we discover on the day, may cause variation. Charter flight between Ceduna and Adelaide is included in the tariff. Helicopter flights can be purchased additional to the indicated tariff as a package or individually.</p>

True North - Located on the main deck, River Class staterooms feature a king size bed (that can be converted to singles) and en-suite. Cabin size is similar to Explorer Class. Other features include large panoramic windows, in-cabin entertainment and satellite telephone. True North II - Located on the lower decks, River Class cabins feature a queen size bed and en-suite. Day 01 Welcome Aboard

Begin your adventure by being taken to the foothills of Adelaide and into Penfolds’ Magill Estate. Not only will you discover the fine drops and rich history of this iconic Australian wine label, you’ll also be taken to The Farm, to encounter some of Australia’s most famous wildlife. Then it’s time to welcome you aboard the mighty True North. Enjoy a welcome cocktail while we introduce you to your cabin and indulge in more culinary delight as we begin an exciting cruise to Victor Harbour.

Day 02 The North Coast

Today we explore Kangaroo Island’s stunning north coast where farmlands roll onto sandy coves. We’ll visit Emu Bay, Stokes Bay, Cape Dutton and Cape Forbes. Your day will be filled with snorkelling, beachcombing, close encounters with seals and dolphins, and fishing for ‘monster’ whiting.

Day 03 Kangaroo Island

Discover the unspoiled beauty of Kangaroo Island, a haven of pristine beaches, rugged cliffs, and diverse wildlife. We’ll embark on a scenic journey to Flinders Chase National Park, marvelling at the otherworldly Remarkable Rocks and the dramatic Admirals Arch where deeper sea pods congregate. Ornithology buffs can join an exploration of the north coast islands’ namesake marsupials, as well as koalas, echidnas, and sea lions. Later, we’ll cruise to the charming fishing village of American River for a tranquil bird-watching and a spot of fishing. As the day winds down, enjoy a deck and reflect on the island’s natural wonders.

Day 04 Great White Sharks

Today is the day you’ll be able to experience a once-in-a-lifetime adventure diving with Great White Sharks. Join our experienced local operator to see these mighty creatures up close and in their natural environments.

Day 05 Port Lincoln

This morning, we’ll explore Port Lincoln and discover the fascinating Southern Bluefin Tuna industry, savouring the prized fish, fresh from the ocean. Afterwards, stretch your legs on scenic trails through Lincoln National Park, immersing yourself in the coastal beauty. In the afternoon we’ll join the crew at historic Memory Cove for beach drinks and hors d’oeuvres, toasting an extraordinary day in South Australia.

Day 06 Coffin Bay

Wake up in stunning Coffin Bay, renowned for its tranquil, beach-fringed bays nestled within national parkland. Start your day at Farm Beach, where you can fish or stroll along its pristine shoreline. In the afternoon, savour local seafood, wines, and beers from Yarnbala, accompanied by live music. For a grand finale, take an optional scenic helicopter flight over Coffin Bay and the Great Australian Bight, marvelling at ancient cliffs, turquoise waters, and endless white beaches from above.

Day 07 Flinders Island

At Flinders Island, we’ll be welcomed by a local family with deep roots in the abalone industry. They’ll share their fascinating diving history and insights into this prized delicacy. After an enlightening presentation aboard True North, our hosts will treat us to a culinary highlight – freshly caught abalone, prepared and cooked before our eyes. This unique encounter offers a true taste of the island’s maritime heritage and local expertise.

Day 08 Picturesque Streaky Bay

The picturesque township of Streaky Bay is located on the western coast of the Eyre Peninsula. In the morning we’ll visit the National Trust Museum where we’ll discover the fascinating history of pioneering families and the sailing exploration of the area. Alternatively jump in an adventure boat and set off in search of the revered blue manna crab. In the afternoon we’ll visit the sheltered bays of the Franklin Islands, home to countless shearwaters that nest in shallow burrows. Here we’ll spend the afternoon exploring, fishing, snorkelling and diving before enjoying your last night on-board the magnificent True North.

Night 09 Return to Adelaide

Our adventure concludes in Smokey Bay where we’ll disembark and transfer to Ceduna for a charter flight back to Adelaide. As you soar over the stunning South Australian landscape, reflect on the unique experiences and memories you’ve gathered along this remarkable coastline.

Night 09 Return to Adelaide *

TRUE NORTH

The TRUE NORTH allows discerning adventurers to experience wilderness in surroundings more akin to one of the world’s most exclusive hotels. A popular venue on any North Star cruise, the lower deck dining room offers the ultimate in comfort and uninterrupted vista – large panoramic windows ensure that guests never miss any of the action, even when they are enjoying the ‘finest in fine dining’. All cabins feature stylish décor, en-suite facilities, in-house entertainment and satellite telephones. The Explorer Class staterooms and the River Class cabins offer king size beds that can be converted to singles and the Ocean Class twins feature roomy single beds.

Multiple expedition boats provide guests with greater opportunity to do “what they want, when they want” and, to add yet another dimension to adventure, most cruise options feature an onboard helicopter!The purpose built TRUE NORTH is able to explore the upper reaches of shallow river systems – guests need only step out of their cabins to experience wilderness and, the latest in computer controlled motion stabilizers ensures a comfortable ride.

TRUE NORTH II

TRUE NORTH II features a more intimate experience with just 22 guests and a combined saloon/lounge. The dining salon features a stunning ‘boardroom’ setting and the revered True North dining experience. There is also a sundeck, outdoor bar deck and a dedicated sports deck.

All cabins feature ensuite or private facilities with in-house entertainment and satellite telephones. The Explorer Class staterooms and River Class cabins offer queen-size bedsand the Ocean Class cabins feature roomy bunk-configured singles.

Just like the TRUE NORTH – TRUE NORTH II is purpose-built to explore coastal areas including the upper reaches of shallow river systems – guests need only step out of their cabins to experience wilderness. But the adventure doesn't stop there! Multiple adventure boats provide guests with greater opportunity to do “what they want, when they want” and, to add yet another dimension to adventure, most itineraries feature an onboard helicopter!
